Is Computerized Lighting Worth $1600? CANbus vs CAN'Tbus

Autos and Vehicles

lonerider.com were rad to work with - they sent us five MTL9 kits to destroy and asked me not to hold anything back. I don’t have a motorcycle license, hell I don’t have a motorcycle….or a boat for that matter. But this is my favourite channel by far.

I'm happy with my 60w kewig lights. I like having amber running lights and flashing white highbeams when needed. Really dont need anything more complicated than that.

Headlights that stay level with lean angle would help on the street. Helmet lights are great offroad.

My high powered helmet light for mountain biking is a waterproof magnesium alloy casing with machined in cooling fins (long enough to to thermally useful, not so long that they snap when hit). They have smacked many a tree branch, and have never broken or overheated. I consider such a build to be essential for lights protruding like that which are going to be out in the real world of water and branches

Thanks for the real life 2 x 4 test. I now know how strong they really are.

I love it! I'll stick with a dr650, Baja Designs S2 Sport, and a Skene high beam dimmer module, for my budget though.

I have even more light separation on my electric skateboard. I have 2 BT 1000LM headlights on the front of my board, another on my head. And a 1200LM flashlight in my hand. I don't have any signal lights but seeing what's actually on the road is unmatched.

This video brought to you 10 days after the one called "Why I Hate Tech On Motorcycles" everybody. I love LEDs, but I work in aviation and what used to be a simple light bulb replacement is now the replacement of a computer, a light unit, or a power unit, or all three! This depends on whether or not the main light control computer can accurately point at the correct broken part. Wonderful technology.
