That intro hit me kinda hard. My grandfather passed about 2 months ago, and i inherited his 2001 tundra. Its not a square body chevy, but that truck has been in my life basically my whole life, and i cherish it greatly knowing im keeping his pride and joy going

My Jerry's name was Val. A welder by profession a builder by passion. He taught me how to weld, fabricate and a ton about life. Lost him back in 2013 but still think of him often. After his funeral we sent him off with an epic burnout in a 57 chevy with a supercharged 572 he helped build (video on my channel). Miss you Val. Know Jerry will be looking down with the biggest grin knowing you got his old rig back on the road <3

Man this hits me. My father’s name was jerry and passed away december 2024. Was working on my sisters suv on day and I have a necklace with his ashes in a pendant. Was looking around the engine bay and couldn’t find what I was looking for. Then next thing I knew my chain and pendant caught up on something and when I looked straight down at it there it was. The part I was looking for. Me and my sister looked at each other and laughed like you guys and said thanks dad.
My Jerry’s name is Ricky, he can do things with metal, body, paint, and mechanical that absolutely intimidates me. I’ve seen him take body panels that 99% of people would toss and make them back like new, like that had never been rusted through or mangled using no bondo might I add and take a motor that you would never think would make power and make a monster out of it by using old school mopar racing tricks that have long since been forgotten by others today. I don’t know what I’m gonna do without him. Gotta a whole lot to learn from him yet!!
