Can anyone explain why on the front straight they cut to the inside across the start/finish line just to cut back to the outside for the first corner? Why not maintain the outside line in a straight line since thatโs the shortest distance when this comes down to milliseconds? Is it just to help start the lean for the first corner of the next lap?
Toprak was too far from Fabio in FP1. He closed down the gap to only 0.5 in Practice session. Good job for a rider who is experiencing his first day at this track on a moto gp bike. Tough debut year as expected. Constantly improving, though.
