You have single handedly convinced me to drive my 90k mile, 2019 Frontier into my grave. It ain't as pretty nor comfy as a Silverado or F150, but F these new vehicles.

How is a 5yr old vehicle having engine misfires or transmission problems... this is utterly Shameful

Guarantee any chevy dealer would have tried to sell this dude a transmission.

Im sticking with my paid off 2009 f150 4x4. still runs perfect and quiet.

This guy needs to be teaching every future mechanic. The way he breaks down and explains everything is on another level, there’s zero confusion between both what he says and what I comprehend. Which for me is extremely rare.

Anything under 2012 is gold

My dad had this problem on his 2017 GMC Yukon Denali XL and after changing the fluid to the correct one, the issue seemed to have gone away.

Auto manufacturers in the US should be ashamed. Quality is lower every year, prices go up every year, vehicles are nothing but JUNK after 2000

I had one... a 30 dollar switch within the transmission I got quoted 2 grand to get it fixed. I let the truck go.

I’m so glad I’ve kept my ‘94 f150. In 32 years I’ve done a water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, rear axle seals and replaced some crunchy vacuum hoses. The rest has been just above average maintenance, 3k oil changes, full transmission flushes and differential services every 20k. It also just passed an emissions test, easily. It’s always drove itself to the parts store and has never let me down. Damn! It’s gotta be painful making a $750 dollar truck payment on an unreliable/broken truck!

If I remember correctly there is a TSB on the torque converter shudder, You look at the graph of the torque converter clutch and if it's slipping you flush the transmission first and if it's still doing it you replace the converter. I repaired one a while back and just replaced the converter with a heavy duty converter after the transmission flush. I think it's partially caused by having these thermostats in the transmission lines. The fluid keeps getting heated up quicker and burns up quicker. As long as you service your transmission regularly at a proper interval, not the 100,000 mi or lifetime or whatever they want to say these days, you can negate a lot of these problems.

I miss the days when you could tune your own carby, clean the points and plugs and set the timing by ear yourself.

Pandemic baby….i won’t even look at 20-23 units of any make!
