Not very good in my book!
Instead of calling it Indian food they called it curry❤
So "curry" comes from a Tamil word Kari, meaning "spice mix, relish, sauce". The issue is that there is ALSO an old english word "Cury" (from French "queuerie" meaning "cooking", which youd recognize from "cuisine" etc.) So saying "yeah, we cook with Curry sometimes" is a confusing statement through a language barrier, and it became shorthand for a broad category of methods of cooking and exotic dishes. (With loosely the same kind of handwavey generalizations as "oriental" which includes basically anything east of Bangladesh that isnt Russia, until you get to the pacific. ) In case anyone came to youtube for a cool language fact today, here you go!
Does anyone know the second song that was used?
it is fun 2 learn :)
How proud is she of her mayor grandson???
"85 years old, 85 years gold"
Curry actually just meant food in England in the 1700s Thats why it's a last name

All Indian dishes I've ever tried had the same taste of curry so I understand the Brittish why they called it all curry 😀

Western women are all jealous of Madhur Jeffery because she is the Martha Stewart of Asia. Such a cute petit woman with short hair. So charming
