The inception of Covid-19 brought forth the paralysis of many Economies in Kenya and the rest of the world. Dorcas creation in partnership with Bright futures Australia set forth to the task of empowering households in the Marurui , Njathaini slums, through production of fashion masks for sale in bids to create opportunities for income and wealth creation for vulnerable households that were worse hit during covid-19 . Many of the women featured in this story survive on casual jobs, and hence we are empowering them with vocational skills for them to create sustainable incomes for their families and Economic impacts in their communities at large.
