I recently learned that my psych RN's practice "consolidation" was actually a purchase by a publicly traded "health group" that is owned primarily by TPG Capital with other investors being Blackrock and Vanguard. My care has gone from amazing to abysmal and I can't find a non PE ownes provider that takes my insurance. It is insidious and everywhere.
