Ok! I learned a tip for softening butter! You boil some water in a tea kettle, pour it into a bowl, let the bowl warm up for a few minutes, then carefully dump the water, and then put the butter on a plate, and but the bowl over the butter. It’s best to use a clear bowl so you can see when the butter starts to “sweat” (moister starts to form, which means it’s starting to soften) What this does is makes sure that the butter is evenly softened
