It looks good, but tofu pieces are too thick. I would do half that size

I love tofu. But you lost me at two tablespoons of soy sauce. That's almost 2,000 mg. of sodium!!!

Being that I am vegan for the animals and not for the cuisine and mostly don't like the healthy vegetables my menu options are very limited. But once I get a couple extra of the spices required in this lovely marinade I'm going to be trying this recipe for sure. I might become a tofu lover after all. Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤

Score the tofu. Marinade: 1 t. hot sauce, 2 T. soy sauce, 3 T. olive oil, 1 T. ketchup, 1 T. (chicken) seasoning, 1 1/2 T. (smoked) paprika, 1 T. garlic powder, 1/2 t. celery salt, 1 t. sugar. Mix together and brush on all sides of tofu. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees F (190 C). Brush slices of onions with marinade. Saute onion slices in olive oil over medium heat. Brush tofu with remaining marinade after the first bake and bake an additional 10 minutes. Plate tofu with onions on top. I think I should give this a try!

I think it would more hygienic to cut your nails short, I find it a bit off putting when you score the tofu. Lovely recipe though.

I wish you showed what it looks like on the inside. Guess I'll have to try it, though I've never seen basil tofu.

Hello, great recipe. I’ve watched other vegan chefs cooking whole blocks of tofu, who freeze the tofu first as that then create holes when it defrosts, enabling much better absorption of marinades: just a suggestion I share. 😃

I enjoy your recipes and I get that you want to do pretty, 'artful' videos but I haven't the time to watch you s l o w l y score and bathe tofu slabs. I end up speeding it up but the ingredients flash too fast to catch. If the recipe was in the description box I'd let the video run while I copy/paste it so you get credit for a fully watched video. I'm sure there are loads of people who do love what you do, it's just not my style. I wish you much success but I will likely unsubscribe.
