A lot of places don't allow for gas and charcoal grills. Remember that.
Weber makes some of the best bbqs available ive used them for over 20 years i just picked up a q1400 on clearance for $80 at lowes so far its been great the couple times I've used it my suggestion to webber Is Negligible and by no means a deciding factor but just something small i noticed right away because it was windy would be to put some kind of clip Magnet or??? To hold down the disposable drip catcher i put 2 sided tape because I didn't want it to blow out and I have a feeling I'm going to tare the tray and spill the mess when I go to remove it
I have a Spirt e210 that I’ve had 10 years. Webber is like the Toyota of grills but the stand looks cheap.
Pleased to see Weber moving into less-polluting forms of outdoor grilling - what with wood/charcoal/solid fuels smoke being carcinogenic and highly polluting and all.
With the price of electricity, I’ll stick to charcoal thanks
As an owner of this grill, you need to preheat but then the biggest caveat is to keep the lid closed as much as possible or else the temp drops significantly (also mentioned by the official Weber Grills account in a comment below)
Here’s a real question for the Weber team — will this maintain up to 600° heat on the 5th floor of an apartment where there are wind gusts up to 20 mph? We’ve tried a couple electric grills and they just don’t cut it. This shouldn’t be rocket science and if I’m paying $500 with tax for a small electric grill, it should be able to do that with no issues. I understand that when I open the bbq, inevitably it will lose some heat. But can it go back up easily and maintain that heat with wind like that?
Let me guess, the side tray is another $100? Kudos on using electric to smoke, I guess….
The flavor of the electric element is horrible.
This looks awesome for BBQing during a burn ban! We have those in wildfire prone states.
The perfect electric grill. My loft doesn't let me have my own gas or charcoal grill on the balcony and we have to go to the fourth floor pool area to grill if we want to use propane. I'm lazy and just want to slap some meat on the grill sometimes without stinking up the room. My friends got me this as one of my graduation presents and I honestly can't live without it anymore. It gets hot enough to grill and have that slightly smokey flavor. I've never used the steaming feature before, but having an area to add wood chips is great. Plus this electric grill is easy to clean up too. I might like it even more than my parents' Weber Genesis that I grew up using.
I like the design and idea overall, but cleaning is madness! I have to spend more time for cleaning rather than enjoying the time with my family. Looking for alternative, probably some compact version of charcoal from Weber or mini version of Green Egg etc. Would appreciate if someone could give recommendations. I need compact version of outdoor grill for terrace with good quality and easy maintenance. P.S. In past I used Weber Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill and was so happy with it. I always covered bottom of grill with foil I had almost no maintenance.
I live in an apartment and don't want to smoke out the neighbours above or beside me.. Are electric bbqs low in smoke? Also, won't that heating element get completely caked in burnt oil resulting in increasing amounts of smoke?
I wish Weber makes indoor grill too
Typo on the title within the video at the beginning lol
love weber products. Can this grill be left outside? Will rain ruin it?
Cost
They look like two different sizes. What are the dimensions of these grills ?
So this requires a generator right?
Emmmm, cable length? Trip hazard? Wind?
