I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 🎬 CREDITS: HOST » Sonny Side DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY » Nguyễn Tân Khải CAMERA OPERATOR » Tran Quang Dao VIDEO EDITOR » Ngoc Le Hong, Dương Quốc Huy, Lê Anh Đỗ, Hà Nhật Linh, Khang Bui COLOR & MASTER » Quí Nguyễn PRODUCER » Liz Peterson PRODUCTION COORDINATOR » Terryh Nguyen LOCAL PRODUCER » Lucky Mdaweni (email: [email protected]) Local Producer » Sarah Kozlowski (@sarahkozsa) LOCAL PRODUCTION COORDINATORS » Reabetswe Seetelo + Noluthando Mbanjwa LOCAL CAMERA ASSISTANT » Thato Mahlaela TRACKER » Avril Korkee Selected tracks via Audio Network For business inquiries: [email protected]

I'am French and i had the chance to live 1 year in South Africa ( Cape Town ) and i loved it so much, amazing country and amazing people. In my opinion SA has Amazing potential, unfornunatly i've learned that France and South Africa share the same big problem : really cool and inventive people but stupid politicians 😅
This is not just a travel & food review channel....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 👍🥰🥰
As a South African, thank you for showing this ❤🇿🇦🇿🇦
As a South African, this is a wonderful video showing our country, however, i can't believe you never went to Durban nor did you do the Indian cuisine. Also, Cape Malay food has much more to offer like Bobotie or koeksisters. You need to come back and do the eastern part of our country. Even periperi chicken you missed. Edit:grammer

Thanks for your content. Everything is so perfect. It makes me more and more motivated.
Watching this made me both happy and sad. Happy because my country finally made it on here and you finally came to see its beauty and experience it's different food and cultures but so so so sad that I'm one of your biggest fans and you left out my city. I'm from Durban, South Africa, which is also one of the main cities and I speak to the Indian community when I say I'm deeply sad that we didn't get to host and feed you. Especially a good real Durban bunny chow and all the snacks. When you do return, please allow us to host you.
I love this lady's humor! She's amazing! 8:30 😂15:40 😂
I've been watching your channel for the longest time, and I'm honestly grateful to see my country on display. Thank you Sonny for visiting and showcasing South Africa ❤️
Sanny and the first co-host literally finished each other's sentences.. a pair made in heaven... I love it ❤️.

"When they see blood, It reminds them of APARTHEID!!!" I died🤣🤣
This channel is One or maybe the BEST documentary food show! Better than what we see on TV. food, culture, humor, editing, video shots, hosts, everything! been a subscriber since Sonny was still starting in korea..
I absolutely love the energy here ! - these ladies are so real . Funny, very knowledgeable of the local scene . Honestly a place I’ve always wanted to travel to.
The production of these documentaries are world class, from the use of sounds that reflect the environment he’s in. To the historical insight he gives us is second to none!!! Bravo Team 🙌👏
I've watched a lot of your shows, but I think this is your best. Beautifully done. Great content, and great hosts that you found and worked with. I love how you stayed focused on the food, but also gave non South Africans a flavour of the different cultures of my beautiful country. South African Minister of Tourism owes you a beer. Take a bow
Hi Sonny. You have become a very popular (and also famous) person with your immensely satisfying food review show. It is always a pleasure watching your shows, especially for the fact that you seem to remain humble and appreciative of the people and their cultures. You're also a pretty funny dude. That does make a difference. Thank you for visiting my home country (South Africa). I did not see you trying any samoosas. There are many many people in my Country who make those REALLY well, also routes, also so many different "potjies" and braais, etc, etc. There is so much more to enjoy. Please return again. AAAPeace.
One thing you have to say about us South Africans: WE LOVE OUR MEAT! I think a lot of South African cuisine is kind of the same, but also every ethnic/geographical group have their own special and unique way of making it and then of course each of us have a few dishes that are just completely unique to that ethnic group. Nevermind segregation, talk about INTEGRATION! Absolute amazing show of so our heritage within less than two hours! PS: Kallit (coloured) from Namaqualand in the Northern Cape here. You made a massive curve towards the opposite sides of the country and missed us up here towards the northwest border of the country! And yet I still feel included as a South African.. Those are my people and that is our food!
