I have been grilling for 60 years. I have used every kind of grill imaginable ---- including the ones you have mentioned --- and stick burners/open fires. I have been a KC-BBQ judge for a good number of years, and actually cook on a grill several times a week year around in my outdoor kitchen. I agree with some of your points, but not the reasoning and grills recommended. I agree with the Weber kettle comments if you want to use charcoal. I disagree with the mention of a pellet grill not giving the food and pleasure of cooking on the same level as other grills. I disagree with the Traeger being a good brand, after being involved with pellet grills since their inception. Green Mountain, Recteq, Yoder, Z Grills and Pit Boss are all better grills than Traeger. The first three have outstanding service based in America. Z Grills manufacture many of the grills on the market. I do agree that if you want convenience buy a gas grill, only I would recommend an indirect heat one like a Holland (no longer made) or an infrared Weber or other similar grill. Especially, cheap gas grills get away from the average beginner to quickly, and ruin a lot of food. Many do not understand the concept of two zone cooking. I currently own a Holland, a Green Mountain, a flat top (gas) and several portable charcoal and gas tailgate grills along with several outdoor cookers for boils etc. I make everything from prime rib to sea food with my different tools/options. I do enjoy your shows and you are helping a lot of the beginners out there. Keep it up.
I purchased a blackstone griddle from Costco
I have many grills. Great video my friend. Cheers from BRANTFORD Ontario
I love charcoal grilling; the flavor is awesome and it makes you feel good about yourself. However, I need that every day grill, so I'm going to get a gas grill...maybe today.
>budget friendly >$800
Nice
I think I'll stick to charcoal grills because of their use and the flavors they give to meat. I'm currently using the Weber Master Touch Premium SE GBS e 5775 model. My favorite would be the weber summit camado.
Great stuff!
I am going to purchase my first one over the next couple of months its gonna be charcoal but that's as far as I have gotten for now.
I live in an apartment and I’m able to grill with the space I have in the front and I’m looking more towards gas grills but just how you said to beware for cheap pellet and knock off charcoal grills would you say the same for gas grills ? Like a cheaper/less expensive one from Walmart that are not any of the brands you mentioned
Nice
We just got a Weber 2 burner Spirit and we love it so far. We didn't need a huge grill but wanted an upgrade from our portable Weber Q that is 12 years old and wasn't getting hot enough.
A temperatura controla-se bem? Para não queimar a sardinha!
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A GOOD,.... "DAY 1, BEFORE YOU USE YOUR NEW GAS GRILL". Some simply "burn off" oils and start using, some, "season" THE WHOLE INSIDE, Spray it all down with "Pam" etc.... do you do anything to stainless steel rod style grates? Thanks!
If you don't enjoy the management of coal fire then BBQ and Grilling isn't for you.
