Looking for the best gas grill without spending a fortune? In this video, we rank our Top 5 Quality Gas Grills—what we call our "entry-level" models here at Embers Fireplaces & Outdoor Living. But don’t be fooled… these aren’t your typical big box store grills. We break down why the most expensive grills at places like Home Depot and Lowe’s don’t even come close to the starting point of what we carry in-store. If you’re thinking about buying a Weber, you’ll want to see why we ranked it at #5—and what grills offer way more value for the same price. Whether you’re upgrading your backyard setup or shopping smart for summer, this is the ultimate guide to getting premium quality without the premium price tag. 🔥 Featured Brands: Weber Broil King Napoleon Blaze True Flame Follow us on social media! I can't speak for those other grills, but I'm still grilling on a Weber Genesis 3 burner grill that I inherited used two decades ago. It's 25 years old and works like new. It hasn't rusted through despite sitting on my patio uncovered in the rust belt. I don't imagine ever buying another grill in my lifetime.
"entry-level grills" with prices above $3000. WTH. You live in a different world. SMH.
Weber customer service is Top Notch!!
I am 59 years old 19 years ago for my 40th birthday I treated myself to a Weber summit S600. Fast forward 19 years I have yet to replace one single part on that grill not a single thing and that is a fact ! Best investment I ever made in a grill purchase. You talk about your top grill pick and the first thing you bring up is the warranty...... Ill take the weber any day or the Napoleon how come no prices on the top 2 grills with no side burner........
Please do one for the more affordable bbq’s like in the 15-1800$ range
I'll admit I'm biased but I have my resaons. I bought a natural gas Weber Summit S650 in 2006 and I've been using it all year round since then. I'm on the original burners still without replacing any of them. If something happens to this grill I won't hesitate to buy another one to replace it, this may be the best consumer product I've ever purchased if I consider longevity and reliability.
Weber spirit 2 is all most people need, most time use only half of that, one burner. I repair everything on the Weber parts are easy to find
No way true flame is number 1. You just be getting the best commission off that one.
Service is such an important component of quality. It's vastly underrated in buying decisions, so great that you point this out and include it in your assessment.
I have the Napoleon Pro 665, bought before covid, couldn't be happier with this grill. I can do pizza's in it, the rotisserie is amazing 2 chickens at once comes out flawlessly (just remember your drip tray), smoking is decent having a solo smoker as well to compare too. Easily gets up to 700+ degrees, side infrared burner absolutely rocks. The fully welded deep 304 stainless steel fire box, heavy burner tubes, flame tamers, heavy grates and double steel lid not only holds up to the heat, but come -30 outside with wind maintains it. I Cook all year round! Very solid construction. I take it apart 2 times a year, take everything (other than the bbq) to a pressure washer bay to clean spring and fall we use it so much. No batteries for lights, plug in a cord. That's your igniter, lights and has another outlet on the back for your rotisserie motor. Absolutely beautiful machine.
Weber Genesis is a beast! We have one at the lake, used 40 weekends a year for the last 35 years. Stored it in the garage with a cover. Replaced the grates and flavor bars once from stock to SS about 15 years ago. Still looks fairly new. Best grilled burgers of any grill I've used every time without fail. I have a Summit at home. It's mid at the best of times.
I appreciate the bit towards the end about customer service. Thanks.
My dad bought me a Weber genesis 24 years ago. Clean it every now and then and replace the flavor bars every 5 years or so and it is still running like a champ. My Weber kettle is about 20 years old and gets weekly action. As long as they continue to work I have no need for anything else.
My Weber Summit bought from Ace Hardware is great. The 9mm stainless grill grates don't even show any sign of wear or rust even after years of use. Hands down the best grill I've ever owned and cooks mighty fine meat.
I have a Weber Summit which I bought circa 2008-9. Some of the components had started to show their wear about the onset of the pandemic. Contacted Weber and they sent me essentially everything I needed to rebuilt the grill (firebox, burners, IR unit, etc, etc) at no cost under warrenty. I'll get 20 years out of that grill for about the $1,500 that I paid for it originally. I really can't think of a better value.
Here is what I know... Call each company 8 or 9 years after you bought it and see who takes care of you. Weber will send you boxes of replacement parts without fighting, negotiation, part costs, or shipping costs. Just replaced my 15 year old Weber with..... a Weber Genesis with SS grates, 3 burners, 1 searer, 1 side burner for $1200 (dramatically cheaper than Summit)
TrueFlame looks great and may have been viable when you first reviewed them a while back, but now there's a $1300 difference between the 32" TrueFlame and the 32" Blaze LTE? There is just no possible way to justify that.
I live by the beach. People leave their old barbecues all the time. But Ive nver seen a weber left behind.
15yo 26" weber kettle mounted in a home made cart-table set up. Used lumber I had around the house. Bought a high quality custom cover. all in, max $600. but go ahead and spend thousands on a grill if you need to
I like Webbers cause I can rebuild them with original parts.
