I'm 3 years sober and on parole. Struggling to find work, but slowly inching my way towards being able to get my commercial driver's license. I lost my grandma, my rock, after I got out. She was able to see me clean, healthy, and return the kindness to my eyes before she passed. Sometimes I think it would be easier on my family who support me if I weren't around, as a 30 year old with nothing but my shoes and the car my grandma left me, it's hard to feel like I belong here. You make me feel like I belong here. I know you probably won't see this, but you have to know how awesome you are and how much simple joy and guidance you bring me and so many others. Thank you so much, Noel. We will never meet and you'll never know my face or my name, but you are my brother and I'll never take what you say with a grain of salt. Keep on teaching us how to save ourselves. Sorry for the sob story 🤍
