I’ve just watched an item on food banks. Shelf after shelf of Ultra processed food. People need to learn from wise cooks like you. THIS is proper, healthy, nutritious, and filling food that surely everyone can afford. If everyone learnt this dish, plus how to make something like minestrone and omelette, nobody need ever go hungry. You should be streamed into everyone’s homes! Thank you for what you do.
For anyone watching in the UK, Polish or Asian supermarkets have incredible deals on big bags of lentils
One of my 'go to' basics is a lentil curry, it's such a healthy and versatile dish - when I make it I see what veggies are yellow labelled in the supermarket and I check that in as well. You are doing people a real favour showing them easy and quick and perhaps most importantly cheap real food is - no ultra processed cr*p and meals you can cook in bulk for days when you're tired and would otherwise waste money on tacky takeaways!
It’s a cold autumn day in Tasmania. I have everything in the pantry for this recipe. Will be lovely for warming evening meal. I regularly use your Naan recipe, so easy and tasty. Once again thank you.
I love all types of lentils, it is a great source of protein, vitamins and minerals and provides lots of affordable meals. Its used in many cuisines such as Italian, Middle Eastern....I always have it at home. Lentil moussaka😋😋😋
I wouldn't mind seeing more rice / lentil type dishes on the channel .. We bought a massive sack of rice from the chinese cash and carry and I'm a bit lost as to what to do with it all, other than fried rice and plain rice :D -- Great video this one though, cause 'I love curry, and i love lentils :D
Could I, with respect, suggest a quick alternative to your nan bread recipe? It's for when you are short of time and don't have yeast... it's really simple: 200g of self-raising flour and 200g of yogurt - I use Greek if I can afford it - mix the two together, split in two and roll out - put each one in a hot dry frying pan and turn after a few mins and that's it. maybe trial it and see what you think? 🙂
Looks good and very cheap to make, lentil curry I’ll have to try 👍
I love vegetarian curries and this looks delicious. The naan was a delightful and delicious addition to the meal. This is the perfect home cooked meal for a hungry family. Yum !❤

Another job well done! I really like the simplicity of this. I like lentils but usually do them in soup. My curries usually revolve around chicken but I'm trying to eat more vegetarian food.
Thanks Dave, that looks really good. Thinking also a good base to add cooked chicken for a lovely chicken & lentil curry. Thanks for sharing. Would you kindly pop the link to the Naan bread in please too?
I was looking for a good Lentil Soup recipe, there are so many variations then this alert popped up, so I'm batch cooking this curry tonight with a few veg additions and I'll divide into portions and freeze. So cheap and very healthy. The best thing we can all do for our digestive health is to ditch processed meals and make our own and when recipes and presentations like this come along, it makes it all the more easy. Keep them coming.
Love his presentation and cleanliness. 👏
