Hey Lauren! Esthetician here x You could get discoloration anywhere on the face after any type of hair removal if sunscreen is not applied religiously- meaning even after you wax your upperlip it is crucial to apply spf. Obviously laser should not be done in the summer period on the face or anywhere exposed to UV, but yes super important that spf is applied right after and reapplied every 2-3 hours. For vellus hair removal I usually dermaplane my clients for all over the face, just because it’s a beneficial treatment for exfoliation and brightening the skin instantly and hair would obviously get removed in the process. Dermaplaning cannot be done on super oily skin or extremely dry skin - best for normal to combo skin 🤍 Spf should be part of your daily routine, summer/winter, inside/outside xxx
