Girl this is my dream??? Do a big grocery shop and just spend hours in the kitchen prepping. I never thought I’d say that but living meal to meal in survival mode is NOT cutting it for me. I miss spending me time in the kitchen 😭

Berry grower here: don't wash the blackberries before eating. You introduce moisture and increase their wounds, which makes them spoil faster no matter what you add to the water. Just a quick rinse before eating is enough. Blueberries are more sturdy, so it isn't a problem

I just had my 4th baby and I’m not going to lie, we have been living off of chicken nuggets, Mac and cheese, and whatever meals I had prepped in the freezer. I am so ready to get back into mindful healthy eating but I just don’t have the time or capacity! But this looks attainable and I am so excited to go grocery shopping now so I can do this prep!

Growing up on a blueberry farm I learned a lot. I will say this, do not wash blueberries until you eat them. They can last for weeks in the refrigerator with an open container. Once they start to wrinkle, lay them on a flat pan and freeze them if you aren't going to eat the right away. They're great to use for baking once they thaw out❤

Love this. Added tip: use wide-mouth canning jars for leftover storage. Soup or other meals go directly into the jars (with a funnel) while hot and re-seal old lids as they cool so they keep fresher, longer. We can see *everything* stacked in the fridge. We can grab a jar and it's a meal. We can wash and reuse them easily. The cost is all up-front and they last.

Can you please show us what you do with the beet leaves and other commonly discarded leaves, e.g. from red radishes, carrots, celery, etc. Please and thank you!

This is really satisfying to watch. But I will be honest, we don't even have kids, but this level of prepping overwhelms me. Makes me scared to even try to be mom. Hats off to you

I have been bulk cooking every week for about 3 months now for the same reason. So that no food will go to waste. I used to throw away meat that went bad before I got to cooking it or fruit that wouldnt be eaten but now mama has it prepped to snack after school. It has saved us tons of money.

This is a small tip I was given about the paper towels in jars for berries: add the paper towel to the top of the jar after adding the berries, then store upside down in the fridge where it won’t fall over! You can easily change the towel if needed this way 😁

I'm so jealous! I'm trying to get to the point where I have the energy to do all that just to make the next few days easier, but I'm constantly running on fumes lately.

You can toss your chocolate chips in some of the dry batter before mixing them in that way they don’t sink to the bottom of your baked good

LOVE THIS! Also, I put paper towels in with my greens as well as fruit and keeps them fresh much longer as well. It's all about keeping the moisture OUT! 🙏🏻✨️✌️

Quick note from a food scientist: if you’re trying to avoid nitrites, be wary of “nitrite-free” sausages. They often use celery extract as a “natural” nitrite source, which isn’t as tightly regulated—so you could actually end up getting more nitrites than with the regular products. All the best!
