Today we’re making more progress on the old farmhouse, pulling up flooring and hoping to uncover some hidden hardwood underneath. After a long day of demo and a tool that officially gave up on me, I headed outside to do what I’ve been waiting for: start planting the new garden. I'm at an age now where I'd check if the wooden boards need to be pulled up first. Then I wouldn't bother with the green tiles. But I'm old and always looking for an easy way! 😂

Underneath the plywood will be wood, if that's part of the original house. Plywood didn't exist when the house was built, so it's not original. That's the same thing that happened with my 1907 cottage. After we removed the squares of plywood, there was plank wood (douglas fir) underneath - now it's our kitchen floor. Thanks for sharing.
