We are right there with you! We are absolutely swimming in the harvest right now, and it seems like every time we get one thing canned and put away, we walk back outside and there is something else ready to pick. 😂 I think this is the part of growing your own food that people don’t always see. Harvest is exciting, but when you grow a lot of your own food, you can’t just admire the abundance—you have to do something with it. So right now our days are a constant rotation of harvesting, washing, chopping, canning, freezing…and then starting all over again. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but come winter, opening a jar of something we grew and preserved ourselves makes every bit of it worth it. There really is nothing quite like knowing where your food came from.

Paying for YouTube is well worth the money spent to not have to suffer through so many ads. I see though that YouTuber’s sponsors are putting ads on through the YouTubers now. That’s annoying but at least you can fast forward through them. Anyway, for those that haven’t subscribed and you’re here a lot, it’s worth it. Btw I completely understand wanting to make money from the ads. It is your job after all.

The joy in doing things by hand is unmatched! With the rise of automating, well... everything, my love for things that are handcrafted, made for a specific person, and maybe have some odd quirks here and there has just soared. I think a lot of people, me included, get in our heads about things that are barely even real and solely exist for the sake of earning some guys in suits money. Getting closer to the land, local community, the items I use and the food I eat every day keeps me sane. I currently live in an apartment in a city so there are limits to what I can do, but in the future I hope to have even a fraction of what you guys have created here for myself; my own little place on earth where I can live how I want to :) But until then your videos will be what motivates me to work towards that goal
I've noticed that I get more ads if I actually watch them, instead of skip. They have started putting in ads that are 15 mins to 1.5 hrs (no joke), which I don't watch! But I learned that creators don't get ad revenue on the ads you skip, so I sit through the reasonable length ones. It's just not the end of the world to sit through 30 seconds of some dumb ad to help support stuff we love to watch.

one of my favourite ways to eat leeks is to saute them in butter then and white wine then serve) with steak or roasted chicken and of course some mash (potatoes) to soak up all the lovely juices! yummy :)
I think you need to stack two or three of those leaks in that KitchenAid top thing because then it would hold everything still to get sliced better just a thought
