When u mentioned the feeling of driving that certain road reminded you of your dad reminded me of last year when I was with my daughter taking my grandsons to a day visit to Brighton hospital as soon as we got their I realised this hospital was where my dad passed, I was ok but as soon as we drove out I burst into tears and my daughter who was 4 when he died said omg what's wrong so I told her, just shows even 25 years later memories can happen at any moment xx
and the start of my favourite cosy vlogs begins 🍂 the countdown to september is ON
My autumn heart is so happy 🥹🍁🎃
It actually triggers me so much when people walk past autumn stuff in stores and go “omg Halloween already”. It’s not Halloween. It’s autumn. As you said, two very different things 😂
My dad recently passed (July 31) from cancer. Listening to others stories, feelings, and thoughts have really helped me navigate through this new realm of life. Thanks for adding that bit ❤
Anyone else sat with a coffee in bed waiting for 08:10 👏👏👏
Ring them Gemma they pop it to the side for you x
Lost my dad to cancer exactly one year ago today 🕊️ and I couldn’t relate to you more if I tried. I still can’t bring myself to watch any of the photos or videos from the hospital last year 💔 Thank you for sharing this today 🙏🏻 I’m far from my family, and today I felt so lonely, knowing I couldn’t go and visit his grave with my brothers and sister. Somehow, this felt like my dad’s way of reminding me today that I’m not alone. 🤍🕊️ Thank you kindly for sharing Gemma 🙏🏻❤️
This video makes my soul happy 🤎🍂🍁
I feel like I'm the first one here 🎉
Thank you Gemma for sharing your grief journey. I have had the same experience since my Mum passed away and it’s nice to know it’s “normal” and your not the only person who experiences that. I have been rewatching your Autumn and Christmas content from many moons ago and it feels me with such cosy vibes ❤️
Grief is the worst thing iv ever known 💔💔💔
Omg I’m flying from Australia to the uk on Thursday … first stop costa and now homesense 😳 make sure you have a big mug cupboard in your new kitchen 💕
The sadness is your tribute to him, to how much you felt and still feel for him.
I love your gingham trousers look lovely with the brown t-shirt
Autumn queen defrostedddddd🎉❤
Just got back from the hospital where my uncle passed from cancer. 😢 Thanks for your vlog Gemma it really made me feel better.❤🥰
Completely understand the disassociation with a particular drive every time I drive past the local hospice where my best friend passed it sends me funny, sending hugs xxx
Hi Gemma I totally understand what you were saying about your Daddy. I used to have to catch the bus for a long trip to visit the hosp with my Father or meet with him around that time. I had social anxiety and felt so numb. I felt like strangers could see I was upset even though I wasnt showing It. It is one of the most difficult things in life that we and them go through. Yet we all support each other and us being there was so needed for their journey to the Lord. God bless our Dads ❤ please don't feel worried for sharing, it's important to talk and healing to hear
Sending lots of love, it can be so difficult and triggering going to places that we associate with traumatic periods of our lives. Something that I’ve had which could be worth looking into is EMDR therapy which helps you process traumatic memories and associations, it’s probably not for everyone but I just thought I’d mention it as it helped me massively ❤
