For 18 years, it’s been the two of us against the world. This was our last trip before becoming parents. One final chapter where it was still just us. We thought we were saying goodbye to a life we loved, but maybe we’re not losing anything at all. Soon, it’ll be the two of us… and him. ❤️ Much love, John & Pat - Our Socials: John - https://www.instagram.com/johnathanchua Pat - https://www.instagram.com/patrinathy #johnpatcross

I am sure you will both be great parents!
I’m typically a silent YouTube video watcher but I found myself crying when you both read your letters and I felt the want to comment and convey my well wishes to you both. Thank you for sharing your journey in what I feel is a candid and genuine way. It’s refreshing to see such content in SG! Wishing you three the best of times ahead 🌼
Pat is glowing!🥹
Idk how John can spew out words of pure gold and wisdom from such an unconventional perspective and then proceeds with LANJIAOOOOO in the same sentence 😂😂 you’re both giving this journey so much thought and have each other’s back I just know you’ll come out the other side ALL GOOD!
Wah really so proud of both of yall 😢😢😢 Just hearing how both of yall have evaluated your own lives and decided on the best way both of yall can do to raise your kid just shows how much the kid means to yall and how awesome parents yall will be! It’s not pressure for yall to be perfect parents, but it’s just so heartwarming to see the journey of both of yall and can’t wait to see yall thrive in the next phase of yall lives! Would love to see a video on yall sharing on parenting principles / directions yall believe in All the best John & Pat! Suddenly got many Ninjas cutting onions.
see right, pat went through all that IVF shit and u are so thankful for her right... now imagine what it's going to be like after labour. the amount of gratitude u have will be unlimited for the rest of ur lives. apparently the pain is like the cold sweat feel like dying pang sai cramps - so whenever I have those, I thank my wife.
thank you John and Pat for the timely reminder. I am a father of 2 and my older boy (turning 3) has been a real challenge recently. Your letters really reminded me that he was a choice and I need to be 100% concious about what I do. Its soo tiring just trying to mould him to be a good person. Things like cleaning up after play, eating at the table etc. I only wish to be like you both, setting golden rules and being intentional about how you want to be a parent, while also being carefree, flexible and adaptable. I only wish the best for you both and your new additions. Please do not stop vlogging as I really take away alot from you both, especially being positive, appreciative and honest. Thank you..
one of the best things of having a kid is bringing him around to places you once visited!! the way children interact with the environment and their look of wonder at the most mundane things allow you to experience the place again entirely differently <3 so precious and wonderful! enjoy your trips now and in the future!!!
To gain this joy, there must be a loss, a change in identity and status as a person and couple. It makes perfect sense to anticipate and celebrate this immense joy and privilege, but also grieve the life you've known all this while especially as a couple. It's ok to feel conflicting emotions, that will likely happen throughout life especially with young children ❤
Thanks for the update!!! Take care and look forward to E’s arrival. Enjoy!
Don't overthink parenthood, u both will do well. Australia has fantastic playgrounds for kids of different ages. Look forward to visiting them with your son.
This kind of trip means so much later ❤ I missed my chance back then and still regret it. Time flies — my baby girl turns 1 in this November ❤.
pat is sooo pretty!!
Love this! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, really helped express how I felt when I was pregnant too. Having a child is wonderful, so looking forward to watching your son grow up soon. Hope you both continue to post more 🙏🏼
Happy Birthday tomorrow Pat🎉
🍀💙
omg hahaha josh and audris so funnyyy!
It is normal to grief for the lost of freedom and lifestyle before baby! I griefed a lot after having my girl and I realised it’s not something a lot of people talked about. No doubt the joy and happiness you get with a kid is unimaginable, but the grief and changes that comes with it, is often not portrayed enough. But the grief eventually passed and you really really get to enjoy parenthood. So excited for you guys in this new stage of life!
All the best in this new exciting journey!! May God continue to grant you and John strength, joy and peace as you navigate parenthood! ❤
