Spent several nights at Loves last year on the way back to California from Florida and researching the Loves setup for RVs is key. We passed several that we wouldn’t stay at because of the setup location and access
Usually full hookups. However, if we are arriving at the CG and staying just overnight and leaving early morning, we try to opt for a level site so we can stay hooked up. Then lower the stabilizer jacks, hook up electric for a quick exit the next morning. in that case we use onboard water and don't dump until the next CG.
I always figure one hour for every 50 miles that we travel. Almost always works out perfectly.
It's called Glamping for a reason....full hookups every time if possible.

We are retired. 3 hours, no more than 6 max. And to save on diesel and our rig 55-60 mph. We both enjoy boon docking. We have a break camp list. And always walk around before leaving. From experience commercial hardware for pocket door, is best. Yeah, we hate going through Atlanta.
We are definitely 3-4 hour-ers now in our 60s (which we inevitably make 6 hours.) We rarely arrive early somewhere, regardless of good intentions.
We mostly Boondock with a campground stop once a week to empty tanks, fill water, laundry, propane, etc. we travel 6-8 hours at a time. Summer travelers, 2 adults, no pets. Just got back from a 25 day trip, sooooo ready to go again!
We try to go no more than 6 hours of drive time. A rest stop break in the morning, 15 min. Lunch break, no more than a half hour. Then another 15 min break after 1 1/2hr or so. We usually make our arrival just around check in time. And prefer full hookups if we can!
Call ahead to Caseys so your pizza will be ready when you get there. That can save 30 or more minutes of waiting for your fresh pizza!
Since we retired and time is not an issue we do short (less than 3 hours, rarely over four) travel days. One of our first trips with our current RV we went to Florida and drove 8-10 hours a day. Bad experience for us so no more.
We have stayed at Love's a lot. Only 1 was not so good because it was brand new. The water was only at a few sites and it was on top of a hill. Very windy. Maverick in Utah has free dump station and works great, fuel, food and flush. 😉

we chose our trailer because it was specifically designed to be boondock efficient/capable, but we enjoy not having to rely on it😂

We try to keep it to 3-4 hours. There are times when we have done 5-6 but that is not often. We want to get to our camp ground before dark and setup, relax and then have dinner. We live in central Florida too and are currently traveling out west. Hubby is the driver and I am the copilot. We don’t like to be exhausted when we get somewhere because we find that mistakes happen when you are tired. We are currently traveling a 10,500+ miles trip. Everyone travel safe, that’s what’s most important.
