Here in the Netherlands, large groups of people belonging to the faith you refer to are burning books—including many Bibles—right out on the street; they are all young people from asylum seeker centers. Because I had never gone to church, when I first started reading the KJV Bible, I did not really understand a lot of it. But my intention to seek the LORD GOD was so strong that I decided to write down in a notebook the verses that helped me feel safe and loved by GOD. I would read and study the Holy Bible for about 3 hours every day. In doing this over time, my understanding grew, almost as if GOD were continually unlocking more wisdom and understanding for me, as my perseverance to draw closer to him never ceased. I was being taught by GOD's Holy Spirit and not by man, and this, along with being chastised and sanctified, has finally made me a New Creature in Christ. The word of GOD is everything! Hello…I am pretty new to your channel and really dig what you are doing. I am 64 years old. Up until I was 62 I was a devout Atheist or Agnostic at best…my whole life. Recent Political Events brought me to ditch Atheism for the Love and Faith of Christ. Ever since my awakening I go to church often but more importantly I read the Bible, study the Bible and yes do my best to lead and live a Christian Life. I am so new at this and just trying to find my way. Thank you for all your work and dedication and great content 💚✝️
Canadian here… sadly the government is pushing Bill C-9 that will make it illegal to preach on certain passages that they deem to be “hate speech”… there is major censorship already happening in this country (heading down the same road as the UK…. Not to mention the gov’t funded media and news censorship on platforms like Facebook that are already present). BUT our peace comes in knowing WHO ultimately is in control and to HIM be the glory. I was sick when I heard Glenn Beck talk about this. I have several Bibles from lost loved ones, and was fortunate enough to give my granddaughter her great-great grandmothers Bible. It’s an absolute treasure with notes and things underlined in it. She got tears when I asked her if she wanted it. I knew she was ready for it. I also have my father’s who was born in 1932. He received it from his mother on his 8th Christmas. And of course I have my Mothers and several more. I wish I could get my hands on a really really old one. I didn’t think of checking thrift stores!

Girl! I knew how they would be tracking us when I was eight years old… This was the early 90s, and my family and I were watching some sort of news program that mentioned government entities or businesses attracting people or their privacy completely violated. My family and I had a discussion about it and I just said I know that they can do this! They could put cameras in our homes… My dad did not like that lol he was very upset that I would say something like that. But, I remember thinking, because I couldn’t say it out loud because of my dad, they’ll make a product that we have to have, that we can’t live without, and we will purchase it and have it in our homes and they’ll get to track us through this product. This was long before cell phones… But to my eight-year-old mind, it seemed totally feasible! And here we are, our cell phones!
It just reminded me of the dystopia "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury...
I recently heard this news also. Yes, buy physical Bibles now. I have several handed down from my loved ones that have passed and treasure all of them. God's word will prevail.
I am a book collector, dealing with rarer books. This weekend I participated in an auction that was of a library of comparative religious studies. The older Bibles (early 1800's went for VERY high prices...a set of 3 went for almost $500 usd. And, these were not highly collectable, or in very good shape...they were focused upon for their publication dates) I was bidding on a set of Pre-Nicene texts, and Early Church Father texts. I expected to get them both, but finally had to choose for one or the other because the price went much higher than expected. There are people still collecting to preserve history. I haven't been able to find anything about what Bible company was (supposedly) purchased, and what family purchased it. Either way, it is always good to have more people interested in building their personal libraries! One never knows if there will be some time when the grid is damaged enough that we will be forced to entertain ourselves the old-fashioned ways by reading books.
In the past, I ran a small Bible Society: the Ocean State Bible Society . We were able to give out over 300 Bibles to people in Prison, Low Income, Seniors and others. Keep on persevering with promoting the Amazing Word of God.... Amen Sister ❤️. Sister Monique 🙂🙏🌷💗
