You have a vast property in Portugal that needs to be managed year round, especially during the hot summers, which now have become the norm. With the state of the farm at the moment, it would not take much for a fire to sweep through. Bottom line you need an onsite manager year round, especially if the next year you will be spending more time in Zimbabwe, with the boys at school
I have the impression, that you need someone living at your property, a single person, or a couple, someone you trust. Just a suggestion 😊
The videos in zim are just as good if not better than Portugal. I wasn’t convinced I would like them at first but I do. If people don’t watch when you are in zim they are really missing out
I don't know which of the two locations I love the most. But I am looking forward to seeing more progress in Portugal, but seeing the magic that Zimbabwe is going to become. With all the talented artists you found to work with you out there.

A farm cannot be left alone for months at a time especially in summer when crops have to be planted, cared for and harvested. Full time care is needed and watching João and Letitia working extremely hard on their farm, bringing in a bumper crop, they will probably not have sufficient time on their hands to properly maintain yours. Hope you find a solution to care for the precious Portuguese property xx

It’s sad to see the state of the farm comparing it to how you left it. You must be devastated. But you have such great attitudes and I have no doubt that it will all work out for you given your hard work.
I see that so many people are giving you suggestions: how to look after each property etc. And I can understand that some might be also worried about, for example, the land in Portugal etc. YET, what I see is two people that are prepared to learn from mistakes, explore, change, evolve, expand and more than anything dream positively, AND that's what makes you have such a rich life. So you live in, one, two, six places, juggl and move around and stay so fruitful and interesting. And life will take you on your journey to whatever, whenever you need to go.❤ Leora

Welcome home to your farm in Portugal! Seeing the farm in unkept state would alarm me too. I know how much energy, money and blood , sweat, and tears to keep up a garden in the hottest days of summer. The garden is fragile and gives so much in return with tender loving care. Time to consider to hiring a groundskeeper while you are in Zim to eliminate plants not thriving while you are gone. I am confident in no time at all, John and his crew will have the farm looking strong and loved again. I am looking forward to Sunday.
I know exactly how you felt coming back to your garden in Portugal. After 6 weeks of diligently watering the garden in Portugal I arrived back to UK last week to find all the summer flowers had died, sad shrubs and an almost non existent lawn! But after a few days of hard work and water the garden is coming back to life, and I’m sure yours will too!
