Transforming My 191sqft Apartment into a Home

I knew someone in Canada who moved his business / office to his home. He gets up every day, gets dressed for work then leaves the house, walks around the block returning to the house walking directly to his desk ignoring the rest of it. He has the ritual of going to work & returning from work. He has done it for years.

Life without cell phones, well it was simpler. We were not “available” at all times so we really could peacefully get away but we were tied to the house if waiting for an important call sometime all day. I feel like it was nicer too in that we didn’t know every tidbit of news good or bad instantly. I feel there are people that make a career out of making us afraid now. As far as your comments about feeling that you are kind of in a different age in life is very normal and being 73 I can tell you that it will continue to happen with each year. My advice would be to just enjoy whatever season you are in and love life to the fullest. You will look back and see how beautiful you were on your journey. I think you have a wonderful purposeful life which is why I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you Gail hopes this helps in some small way

I'm almost 67. So yeah, I know exactly what it was like not to have a phone attached to you 24/7. Our phones were attached to a cord going into a phone jack on the wall. And it wasn't like I could have privacy on our phone at home as a kid. It was in our dining room. Which was right in the center of the house with a 6 ft. long Cord. And a rotary dial. If you have never heard how loud a rotary dial is. It was pretty loud. And you heard it for each number dialed for the phone number. And even longer on the higher numbers. So its not like you could be sneaky using the phone. They could probably hear it 1 mile away! Lol. And you could'nt whisper while on the phone. Cuz your friend could'nt hear you. So, yeah, it was fun growing up in the 60s and 70s. Especially if a boy called and your dad answered. But that's a whole other confab.

You asked if we were interested in your hair care and skin care… I’m definitely interested. I love day-in-the-life videos. Self care, cooking, decorating, running errands etc. You don’t have to have something big going on. You are fun to watch regardless of what you’re doing. 😀

Yes, I can imagine going through the day not being connected to a hand-held device! I'm 66 and lived through unscathed, lol! You don't miss something that doesn't yet exist.... I always had a dime in my pocket to use for a pay phone in an emergency....I miss those days because you lived in the moment with eyes straight ahead or on the person(s) you are with at that moment. Life was good in the 70's. Then the 80's came in with 'answering machines' and we thought we had 'made it'! Coming home in anticipation of a message! Life continued to be good in the 80's...I had a grand time!

The good single guys aren't out at bars. They're home watching movies, playing video games, hanging out with friends! Go to board game cafes! No one's ever met a quality man at a bar 😂

14:37. I grew up in 70’s, I’m 63, with no phones and computers, 3 tv channels. It was a simpler time and we met our neighbors and friends by playing outside and going home when the streetlights came on. We had huge pasture parties every weekend for almost every one in my large high school. The Best of Times! 🎶

I had to stop and comment on your pendant light placement measuring technique. That’s exactly how I do things. My husband gets out the protractor, leveling string, lighted stud finder, power tools and ladder. I love him and God bless the man, but sometimes I just do stuff like this when he’s not home. 😊
