We use the European method. Two twin duvets that we switch out seasonally. For winter we use a wool insert that’s more heavyweight and for summer we use a silk insert that’s just perfect and light. We only use natural bedding so I have a wool mattress topper under the cotton sheets and then we use our duvets on top of that. We do not use the top sheet. We just launder the duvet covers when we need to just like you would a top sheet. We don’t use any petrochemical bedding and could not use one of those beds in a bag or synthetic pillows as they cause the body to sweat. It’s been a lot of trial and error, but this is the method that works best for us. It’s also nice to have your own little blanket that you can wrap up like burrito.😊 Enjoy your new luxurious bed!

We don’t use flat sheets, we use duvet covers that we change and wash. And the so-called Scandinavian method is pretty common all over Europe.

I prefer either cotton percale sheets but have found bamboo sheets work well for either someone who sleeps hot or cold. The bamboo sheets feel almost like satin without being slippery! My mom taught me to do hospital corners for the flat sheet which is similar to what you've done!

I totally get the 2nd Ammendment 🔫. My husband grew up around guns (army vet and his father was a cop) and my dad always took me to the shooting range 5 mins away. We're going to move our family from the west coast to the east coast in a couple days 🥴😩, but it'll be worth it. You guys have done an amazing job on your home!
