I’m a military child in the 60’s we moved from Ga to California. My grandmother and aunts packed a brown paper lunch bag for my brother and myself for every morning. My dad opened the trunk and we got a new fun bag with new treats and car games etc for each day a surprise . Every morning was a new adventure for that day. Of course back then nothing major was a treat. My grandmother always made me slippers using wash cloths. I’m 69 now. Funny what we remember 🙋🏼‍♀️🥰

That kind of toiletry bag is great for roadtrips but I can’t ever imagine that bag being in my suitcase for air travel. I’d rather packs a few small bags to tuck into nooks and crannies.

My 6 year old: those are the people that go to disney! Are they there now? Me: no buddy this is just a regular vlog. Him: oh, what are they doing? 😅

Oh the drawer of cords and cables! I recently got masking tape and made labels for all the cords and what they are for so that I don't have to keep checking what is what! I then got an amazing clear container at Dollar Tree in the automotive dept to store them in and it is AMAZING! So funny how little things like that make you feel so accomplished! 🤣

It's still blueberry you-pick season, if y'all have any interest in those! i know strawberries are the flashy, main character berry picking option though 😆

A tip I heard from Travels by Laurie...I think, pilots wife is get colored tapes and match what they go to with a piece on each or all C connections certain tape and the I got these small bungee with round magnets you can wrap around the cords and they have several colors. Really helps!😊

Bringing a pool snack for a kid “moping around on the side” is so real haha

My mom never packed anything for us for the pool. Just a towel if we were lucky lol
