Welcome back, friends! π€ Today's video is one I almost didn't share. After a summer full of traveling, back-to-school shopping, family adventures, and just... life... my bedroom slowly became what I lovingly (and not so lovingly π ) started calling the PIT OF DOOM. It was the room where everything landed. Laundry, random shopping bags, things that needed homes, projects I never finishedβit all piled up. Honestly, I felt embarrassed by how bad it had gotten, but I also knew I couldn't be the only one who's ever had a space get completely out of control. So today I'm bringing you along as I slowly tackle the mess. It didn't happen in one afternoonβit took me days to work through it, and that's okay. Sometimes life demands our attention elsewhere, and certain rooms end up waiting their turn. That's real life. Along the way, I'm also sharing a little sourdough update, trying out a new curling tool (because I seriously never curl my hair anymore π), and just spending some time together around the house. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by clutter or like everyone else's home is perfectly magazine-worthy while yours isn't... I hope this video reminds you that you're not alone. Homes are meant to be lived in, seasons get busy, and we simply start where we are. Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me. Your kindness, encouragement, and friendship mean more than you know. β€οΈ If you enjoyed today's video, don't forget to subscribe for more cleaning motivation, homemaking, family life, recipes, shopping, organization, and all the everyday moments in between. β¨ I'd love to know in the comments: What's one area of your home that's been waiting for a reset? We are all friends here, we watch and we don't judge our Mrs Whisk. π
5 kids, full time youtuber with not 1 but 2 channels, a little mess is nothing to be embarrassed about π₯Ή you genuinely inspire me!
Kim, you have a beautiful soul. God is always with kind-hearted folks. I pray Heβs with you in all you do, guiding each step. May His presence bring you comfort and strength.
My mother used to say " my eyes are just fine, itβs my arms that are too short" Give yourself some slack, you have 5 kids, a husband, a dog, chickens, plus us to take care of, you are untittle to be a bit messy at times. We do enjoy you the way you are. Bonne journΓ©e
Wait - back to school gifts?!?!? Not necessary.
Put your German bench in your bedroom to the right of your door. It's so unique, you really don't want to part with it!
The dopamine hit I get from the theme song! πππ€©
One thing that will get them up- blast music they don't like. It will get them up QUICK.
Thanks for being human. A lot of others donβt show real life; you do. Have a great day. πβ€
It looks like a happy house to me. Yes just worry about what people see most and let the rest alone, it isn't going anywhere. I am 71 now, raised 5 kiddos basically alone. I made myself sick trying to clean have the kids be more neat, but you know what now my house is clean, the laundry is maybe 2 loads a week, dishes done, meals short and fast. Oh how I miss the noise the mess, big meals, never ending laundry. Believe it or not you are in the best day s of your life enjoy it, and stay blessed
Never get rid of the German bench. I love it so much!
What about putting a cube shelf in your room for the incoming/outgoing/to film things? That way it's off the floor and has a designated "home" π You're doing amazing and such a motivation!
Hey Kim! This is so relatable. We all have... such a lot to clean and organize. It can get exhausting. Appreciate you keeping it real and sharing the real picture. β€ Btw, love your blue winged armchair and floor-standing mirror. β€
You show REAL life, and I love ya for it. I really enjoy your attitude and your silliness! You nail it with your funny edits! LOVE the Wads β€β€β€
Im with ya Kim!! I drink from a quart mason jar at home. Personally, I think drinks in glass tastes better. I even use glass straws (no kids in the house) and just so refreshing.
As someone who has unintentionally dyed a few loads of laundry, Rit makes a color remover. Smells horrible but works really well In removing laundry mistakes!
Sour the Bakery here on Youtube has an awesome Sourdough English Muffins recipe that she links the original recipe creator. I make them all the time and they are super easy and I have never had a fail. The recipe makes 1 dozen and I double it each bake. ππ
Kimberly. My bestie ( remember you told me I was your bestie) it's me Carol. You are so loved and don't ever forget it. You're amazing and don't you ever be embarrassed. Sending you love and prayers, my woman across the room.
I also have a deep sleeper in our house and the school year is not easy. Waking her up was super difficult. I made sure she went to bed early enough every night to get plenty of sleep. So, it wasnβt a lack of sleep situation. However, I figured she loves music. Soβ¦ in the morning to wake her up, I ask our Alexa to play wake up music and that gets her going!! Maybe it could help your deep sleeper too!
Iβm more surprised that we never knew you had a ceiling fan in your bedroom. Or that the ceiling is blue lol. Been a friend for like five years now πβ€
