I felt the same disappointment with Summertime Punchline! I’m from south jersey and legit was so excited when I saw it was set there because I feel like so many books set in Jersey are more north jersey/just outside NYC and we need some love too! (I was also picturing ocean city as the shore town) But at the end of the day it just…wasn’t it. The characters didn’t feel real and I didn’t think they had any chemistry. I wish I liked this more but the best part was recognizing the vibes of south jersey.
