We Found the Original House Structure 🏠

RV...you need a RV to live on the property (hook up to water, sewer and electricity) while you build so you can sell your home to get the money you need for the reno. My husband is a builder and that is what many people here in Michigan do in your situation. I hope you read this or someone gives this idea. I have loved your channel for years now (gardener) and now my husband (builder) is watching too, God Bless!

Robbie, you need to make a list of things you guys need or want for the house. Post the list on you Description page so your viewers can gift you and Brent some of the items. Your viewers feel invested in your new home, you and Brent and would like to feel a part of it.

With the house down to. the studs it will be much easier to rewire the house. and probably less cost(and possibly plumbing). It will be so worth all of the work. You have great friends to put in such hard work.

I too like another follower commented that you should put an RV out there to live in until you get a couple of livable rooms. And I love another comment of putting out a wish list. I’m so excited for the two of you that it brings tears to my eyes.

Even if you won't be able to rebuild it for awhile, I think you should demo everything/every wall you think you will eventually remove/move. The rodents, insects, wiring and debris at least will be taken care of while the house is empty. Plus, trying to work around what is already there will drive you crazy. Maybe you can borrow/rent a mobile home/trailer/RV to live in on the property for a couple of months?

You will look back and laugh about these memories, you are going to create a beautiful home 🤗

Oh Robbie I feel for you and Brent! Went through the same thing 30yrs ago and I cried every day! But it was worth it in the long run. Please just stay connected with each other and be kind with your words bc it’s tough on a relationship going through it! You guy’s have this!! We all have your back!!!

If you need to sell before you’ve got enough of the Reno completed for you to live there, do any of your friends have an RV that you can borrow for a while? After seeing the hack jobs you’ve uncovered I think I’m glad you had such a bad critter infestation and found all this sooner rather than later. It’s a big task but you and Brent will have a beautiful, (solid, safe, critter-free) home

And that is why it’s best to bring down old houses to studs. You guys are doing great!
