We had cicadas by the thousands one year here in Texas and small holes throughout our 1/2 acre that they brough out of. It was awful until we got 4 swedish blue ducks and lmty they are lean mean cicada killing machines and their eggs are divine for making cheesecakes and they don't eat your landscape for the most part. They love new shutes on ferns and Spider plants. We have learned to navigate around their taste for some plants. Short Monkey Grass, grass, hosta's, shrubs, mints, herbs, flowers, they leave em along.
Dang I checked in riiiiight on time. Love watching these videos while I have coffee in my little backyard. My cat wandered around the bushes and I fantasize about having a place as free as y’all’s.
So funny about the frogs. When we moved from the city of CA to the very rural country life in SC, we experienced the extremely loud multi species of frogs on our property. 5 yrs later, we barely hear them😂 And we thought the country was quiet😜
I actually love the sound of the cicadas at night when it’s dark it’s just a very relaxing to listen to
