I remember way back when you were working on the cottage, you said something about buying a truck. If you had purchased a truck, those longer pieces of wood would be easy for you to transport. As 76 years old woman, I still drive a truck which comes in handy for gardening and construction materials.
I think you might pause to determine if that bottom layer is gypsum board (asbestos), it was typical for it to have drywall layered over it once people found out it wasn't healthy. You'd see nails sitting out a little from the wallboard and sometimes a stamp with the name Gypsum on it.

MaCenna I’m nervous about the whole bathroom situation. I’m wondering why they covered one layer of drywall/ stucco in the bathroom. Did they cover the entire bathroom in new drywall to encapsulate it because it tested positive for something toxic like lead or asbestos? It just seems like the walls are hiding something. I hope I’m wrong but I wanted to mention it just to be safe.

A blue and white porcelain plate for the outlet covers would be nice and match the tile accents around the sink. You might be able to find vintage ones at you flea market trips...💙

As you are taking your medicine cabinet out, I'm putting one in my bathroom 🤣 my 1950s house is begging for more storage.
You should use that scrap of old wallpaper somewhere in your makeover, like art or something. 😊
From the first moment I said, “Oh, new overalls, cute! I hope she shares them below!” You did exactly what I hoped you would, thank you. Wow, I didn’t realize how much extra cost it would be to include the ceiling. It is going to be adorable. I hope you actually find striped fabric for the windows, Roman Blinds? That will go wonderful with the tiles in that bathroom. It will also feel fresh and clean with a touch of boyhood. I can’t wait for the final reveal.
