Well darn. I really wanted to get the 8 Ultra. So many sites claimed S Pen was coming back. I left Motorola for Samsung to get a Note 10+. The pen made it so much better. The Fold Edition S Pen on the Fold 3 was magic. Good size. Pen sleeve on the case. I never want to go back. I don't care how thick it is. I don't care how heavy it is. I don't care how expensive it is. I want the Pen. I use the pen. Even just for navigating or playing games, I use the pen. I even use the pen to swipe on the keyboard. I skipped the 7 because it had no pen. Waited on the 8. Now with no pen I'm going back to Moto. Razr Fold it is. I'm so disappointed.
1Tb version closer to 3k dollars 😂

The Fold 8 seems fantastic. It has a great aspect ratio when open and closed and is light weight!
Voicing my disappointment for not getting the S-Pen this year again.
2:35 work on two apps at the same time, larger canvas for spreadsheets, docs, whiteboards, reading apps showing two pages, drawing... I'm starting to realize the only thing Youtubers do is watch YouTube videos.

Just tried both at Best Buy. The Fold 8 is much better for me personally. I found that despite it having less screen, the aspect ratio was much better in both orientations and I found multitasking with 2 shorter but wider displays actually better than the fold 8 ultra. Not to mention they have a 3 window option for some reason that wasn't bad but I would have a hard time finding a use for it. Even texting on the outside screen was better than my S25 Ultra tbh.
would choose the fold 8, but waiting to see what Apple brings in Sept

The Fold 8 is the right form factor for a foldable. Apple are going to win with this when they launch the foldable iPhone. The app ecosystem will be key.

As cool as they are, I’m done with folds. Incredible piece of tech, but they’re just way too fragile. My Z Fold 7 needed a brand-new screen after just a few months, and I was treating it like a newborn baby 24/7! Add in the fact that even the thinnest case turns it into a total brick, and it’s just not worth the hassle. Back to slab phones for me.
