They seem to have basically identical video sizes... just rotate the ultra to landscape too - how i use my 6 90% of the time.

The 8 wide is finally the next generation of phones. No more stupid narrow candy bar phones. I have been waiting a long time for phones to get back to close to a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Man, if the wide one has same 50mp wide and normal camera as S26U with 2 or 3x zoom as showned (maybe the S pen integrated too), I think the wide is actually a better option for being lighter and better to watch media/games

Being able to open physical diagrams and maps on the Ultra while having other apps open will be a game changer for me.

When the S27 Ultra comes out next year, I expect 3600 nits too.

I absolutely love the width of the fold 8 , I hope they make the fold 9 about 6.9 inches next year as well and bring the Bluetooth stylus back in 2027

Yeah, it really all comes down to your actual use case here. ​If you’re someone who spends most of their time scrolling through social media, the Fold 8 seems like the sweeter spot. But if you need that bigger display for multitasking—or if you’re like me and actually working with maps—the Ultra definitely feels like the better pick. ​We’ll find out tomorrow!
