*Microslop spies?* Shocker!!
And now you know the reason MS forces you to have a MS Account now.
Remember when it used to be called "My Computer" instead of "This PC" - its in our faces guys
and people thought the "windows is spyware" thing was just a joke
So we'll be seeing Linux on all your PC build videos instead of Windows?
We are already 300 transgressions down the “I can’t believe these companies are doing this!” slope.
4:30 - You're not overreacting, Linus. This is about as bad as it gets in the mad race to dystopia, and it is our duty to be outraged.
I should be horrified. I should be appalled. I should be disgusted. I should be calling my state representative and telling them how much I hate this and how turbo-illegal this should be. But I'm just tired. Which is what they want. They wear you down, tear you apart, and erode your will until you have no desire to fight back because it seems pointless. And I'll admit it, it worked. They won. I'm not even surprised that they were spying on me like this, and that was their goal from the beginning. And it disgusts me.
Imagine a hacker using Windows LMAO
Every other week I'm happier and happier I've ditched Windows.
They track you in your car with flock cameras, and now they track you inside and across buildings using your devices. We are literally becoming a police state.
Time for Linux to sponsor LinuxTechTips
I'm in the middle of migrating my entire organization to Kubuntu. I've had enough of Microslop EDIT: It appears I upset a lot of die-hard Linux fanboys with this one. Let me make one thing CRYSTALLY clear: I don't live and breathe Linux. Neither does the people I work with. While I value my privacy, I also value my time. That means I'm not going to go full turbo and install some obscure, hyper-customized distro that will be more hassle than it's worth to maintain. I'm definitely not gonna go compile my own Linux kernel either, and do everything by hand. Just to avoid having hardware ID's exist. You guys have to think realistically here. Hardware ID in it of itself isn't the issue here. It's what happens to that ID if it's uploaded in the cloud for tracking or other privacy invading purposes. You can switch all telemetry completely off in Kubuntu during setup. That is good enough for me and the people I work with.
In spite of all the content creators saying otherwise; we've known for a while that vpn's aren't exactly a bulletproof anonymization tool.
Windows is MALWARE that identifies as an OS.
One thing to remember is that even if you are missing some app on linux and switch anyway, you are actually voting with your feet to get that app ported also.
I'm more surprised people are surprised.
I would love a comprehensive "So you wanna move to Linux" video for those of us who want too but arent aware of all the pro/cons/process.
Worst Linux problem: cant choose between all the good distros.
"Maybe It’s Time to Leave Windows" Oh already did that like a month ago, and it feels liberating.
