Join me this week as I soak up the Isle of Skye in the glorious sunshine. I took a trip to Loch Coruisk, tried 3 new eateries I’d never been to before (Sweet Bubble Tea and Chinese Noodle Bar, The Creel and Cafe Cùil Kiosk), revisited old favourites such as The Chippy and Cuillin Hills Hotel and spent time frolicking on the beach with freinds 💘

I am an older woman, and as I watch your lovely channel, it has caused me to reflect back on how I experienced perhaps a bit of what you are going through. I had an early marriage that ended amiably, I will say, but then I was single for many years before I met my now husband of over thirty years. I tell you all of this because I recall how jarring living alone can be at first. I, like you, was very independent, but that does not mean without emotion. I recall that you were quite 'let down' after your terrific and active visit from your parents and now you seem to be going through a similar experience after the wonderful and again very active adventure with your friends. Remember that sudden change of going back to it you being just you, can take an adjustment. So continue to be kind and patient with yourself. Living by yourself has much in store for you, and you will discover a better understanding of these transitions. You have got this!!!!
Dear Caroline, I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your videos bring me so much joy and are a little bit of healing for me at the same time. 😍I‘ve always dreamed of living in Scotland. I live in Germany and was lucky enough to spend four months there last year and will spend another two months there this year. Unfortunately, my job won't allow me to return every year, and honestly, that breaks my heart a little. But your videos make it easier. You show Scotland and your life there in such an authentic, realistic, and beautiful way. There is something so comforting about your videos—they never feel staged or perfect, just genuine and full of heart. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us and for reminding people like me that Scotland is still there, waiting for us. Your channel has become a little piece of Scotland that I can visit whenever I miss it. Sending love from Germany, and thank you again for bringing so much joy into my life. ❤️
Your channel and social media accounts are the sole reason I can’t bring myself to log out of social media for a break. It’s my dream to live in Scotland which will likely not happen in this lifetime so living vicariously through you is such a joy. I think I actually found your channel after I got home from Scotland and went down an Isle of Skye rabbit hole. It’s refreshing to follow a woman who is motivated to live well through experiences and hard work without accumulating stuff endlessly. You’ve motivated me to paint my doors and some walls in my home. It sounds small but I’ve been feeling lethargic about my home in the last few years and your videos have almost a body doubling effect for me. Your channel is filled with the things in life that truly make it worth living - a cozy home, hard rewarding work, exploring, adventuring, family, friends, books, food and a loyal pet. Oh and drinks!! Rooting for you, Caroline!
What a great time your having ❤ gorgeous fur baby living her best life 🌿🍁🦌🥰
So relatable, Caroline! I live in Washington state in the U.S. where summer is the most beautiful, gorgeous, perfect time of year. I feel so torn between wanting to get outside and make the most of it and staying home and making progress on my own home renovations. It's a really tricky balancing act, not to mention the ups and downs of hormones thrown in there. On the one hand, I'm tired of living in such a chaotic, unfinished environment, so I want to work on the house. But at the same time, going out in nature really restores and refreshes me and reminds me why I chose to live here and buy a fixer-upper in the first place. I think all we can do is take it day by day and be kind to ourselves!
Caroline! How do I tell you, how much peace and joy your vlogs bring me. Seeing you happy and living the “perfect” life makes me so happy as well. Thank you for always sharing your life with us. And all those emotions as well. Living in Singapore, I am often anxious and yearning for a slower life in a cottage, being in my very modern apartment with a massive tv that’s not cottagey at all… 🤣 but I’m glad I can use that massive tv to watch your lovely life from here. ❤❤ thank you!!
Goodness, taking the wallpaper off has really opened up and brightened the room! I love the paint colour choice and so exciting that your floor will soon be done as well. Progress often lightens the mood. As a fellow single female I relate to the overwhelm that can creep up. ♥
Emotional Support Wallpaper Stripper!!!!🤣❤❤
I look forward to your vlogs every Sunday ❤️
So much fun! You're home is shaping up nicely💛
Love your video's, Caroline! What lovely days with friends! I think every female has had "those" days.😐 My mother had the perfect term for them. She would say, "I feel so unnecessary today " And then we just get on withit, don't we?😊 The house has so much potential! Just love it.😍
Your vlogs are such a delightful thing. I look forward to spending some time with them every Sunday! I'd say that leaving that beautiful nursery with only four pots (one being a gift means it doesn't even count), was incredibly restrained. Bravo!
Beautiful views in glorious weather. Absolutely have two take aways in two nights. Make the best of the weather. 💙💙Gillian from Northern California.
Loving all the flowers in this vlog! Perfect summer days are the best days imo looks like you've been making the most of your summer in the Hebrides! Exciting house progress! & I recommend dating an electrician. They are too expensive to pay market price but lighting is everything! Also, they make decent husbands. Ask me how I know 😅
...that sheep was in the wrong lane 😂 Shouldn't there be a shepherd after that thing, or do the animals have the run of the island?
Incredible view, Caroline! Wow! 2 cents from a 50+yo self-employed solo woman homeowner (take it or leave it): alcohol consumption during your luteal cycle phase can exacerbate big feelings, and that can get worse as you age toward and into perimenopause. Not everyone is affected by this, but you may want to try abstaining at least during that phase to see if that improves your ability to cope with stress and big feelings.
A flower bush is so thoughtful for a gift 🥹
I don't at all know why, but I would be surprised to see dolphins there. I guess I just associate with year-round warmer climates.
Just want to say loving the Nula content, especially all those sweet moments. I have a girl dog too and I love having our special time together, just the two of us. Girl girl dog bond is real 🥰🐶 Ps, you are consistently giving me motivation to get my DIY on!
