Tiffany, my downstairs neighbor and friend had throat cancer. He had radiotherapy. It sucked. He ended up having IV's a few times for hydration. So pay attention that you don't get dehydrated. He lost lots of weight and he's not a big man. He was in so much pain. But guess what? The cancer is gone and has been gone for 3 years. This is going to be a challenge Tiffany. Lean into your faith and family.

My daughter had throat cancer. She ate ice pops. She had a hard time swallowing but the ice pops helped. That was two years ago. She is cancer free right now.

A friend of mine's husband recently had radiation treatment for tonsil cancer. He had a feeding tube put in before start of treatment because the doctor said the throat pain would be very bad. Within the first week of treatment, he was getting all his nutrition through the feeding tube. Maybe think about discussing getting a feeding tube with your doctor(s). I wish you all the best.
