You've reached the end
When your sensors absolutely, positively need to work, regardless of the interference around the curcuit, sheilding is the only answer lol
A year from now: alright guys here are my jet engines and fuel system to simulate a hornet in person for a simulation.
Beautiful. Love the F/A 18 and your project. Keep up the good work 👌
Babe wake up, PapiPlanes uploaded
Strobing lights use an astable multivibrator circuit. You just apply power and the R and C values control the timing. If you want the clicking you use a relay to control the light on/off like a turn signal or you could use a mosfet i think
Tons of EM shielding on that harness, ho-lee!
I work on the lights for over 20 years. The springs for the bulbs brake of all time. For every two light that I fix, I have to change out the light assembly. That takes about three hours to do. For the strobe light , it has a power supply that had 120 ACV in and the out was raced it a lot.
Pretty cool wish you luck
I have so much respect for people like you who build this kind of flight sim rig. It must be so satisfying knowing you have a 1 of 1 setup like nobody else. One day I’ll be able to afford a computer capable of running DCS 😂. Then ya need a real hotas, rudder and some kinda track IR or full VR. If ya don’t have at least those 4, games I almost feel like it’s not worth playing, it’s too good. Like right to play grand turismo with keyboard and mouse. You have the ultimate my man.
Next he's gonna get the real engines, wings, fuel system and ammunition system and start playing irl 😭
I think building cockpit indicators and controls for dcs and flight sim folks would be a really fun job.
Lol. It's funny how similar that is to the F-14 master caution panels. I used to hate working on those.
Once you finish the cockpit you have to use mixed reality so you can fully appreciate it
youd think thatd be in a better position and a bit larger.
Damn, you’re smart. This is gonna be so sick when it’s completed. I’m loving following this build.
You are kicking ass with this project. You're going to end up with the coolest home simulator of all time.
I’d love to see more stuff like this😊
So I bought this cool indicator and now I have to build an F18 in the yard.
This is really cool 👌🏼
In a couple years, he'll just zoom out to reveal a rebuilt jet "And here is me installing my Pratt and Whitney turbo fan engines!" (I'm just taking a shot in the dark, I dunno much about jets in particular)
