I canceled my Anthropic sub. Its just to expensive and restricted. Open ai I can actually get work done.
I have the Codex $200 max plan. Every day when I get to between 30 and 40 percent, they refill, almost every day. Plus they give me full restarts in the / commands as well. I use the $200 Claude Max plan as well with peer duos as a standard, and Codex 5.6 Sol is doing twice as much more accurately. Thanks for all you do Matt!

Me and my developer friends gravitated to Claude because the quality was always better. Then the quota limits started. Time and time again, we couldn't use Claude. Around GPT 5.4, it became a no-brainer. The amount of mistakes were so small on day-to-day work that it didn't make sense to keep trying to use Claude. One by one, everybody has switched over to Codex. I was actually the last holdout because I tried to use Antigravity. At this point in time, Codex has been a great tool to use even without the quota resets.
Not even mentioning not being able to use Fable with Hermes without paying via API. Running 8 Sessions in parallel with 5.6 Sol xhigh and not even scratching the usage limit. Switched to GPT after the Openclaw Ban and didn't regret.

I’m only on OpenAI’s $20/mo plan I but am a pretty heavy user, doing some significant development work with it plus a lot of other things. I’ve hit the 5-hour rate limit several times, but usually with less than two hours until the reset. This is no problem for my use cases, I have plenty else I can do in those couple of hours. The great part is that my weekly limit completely resets every night. The amount of work I’m putting through it is insane: At $20/month it’s the most ridiculous bargain in the history of computing. I can’t even imagine what a skilled coder with a large code base could get done on a $200/month plan 🤯
Claude allows you to control Ollama cloud models and open ai blocks it.

I haven’t even used my two full resets yet because they’ve been resetting normally over the past few days. Codex has been coding for me for at least 10 hours a day. I’d rather use a slightly less capable model than go back to what I experienced with Claude, where I was out of tokens within 15 minutes and had to wait another five hours. Respectfully, the hell with that.
