If you're a vegetarian looking for a peaceful escape from the city, Zorba The Buddha Restaurant might be one of the most unique dining experiences around Kathmandu. Located inside the serene surroundings of Osho Tapoban, this restaurant is surrounded by greenery, forest views, and fresh mountain air. The setting is calm, scenic, and ideal for anyone seeking a break from the noise of the city. The restaurant serves only vegetarian and vegan dishes, and honestly, the food was impressive. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. My personal favorites were the tofu sizzler and the potato wedges, both of which were packed with flavor. The service was decent, and the overall atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing to keep in mind is that the prices are slightly on the higher side. Also, depending on your route, you may notice an unpleasant smell on the way because of the waste disposal area nearby. That said, once you reach the restaurant, the peaceful surroundings make you forget the journey. You can also explore the Osho garden and meditation area before or after your meal. Overall, if you enjoy vegetarian food, nature, and quiet surroundings, this place is absolutely worth visiting.
