Ingredients Rice Tomatoes Bell peppers Habanero pepper Onions Garlic Ginger Cooking oil Curry powder Thyme Salt Adobo seasoning Chicken bouillon Beef bouillon Water Green peas for garnish Fresh tomatoes and onions for garnish Steak of choice Step 1: Prep the Pepper Mix For this recipe, I decided to try the baked method for the stew base. First, bake the tomatoes, peppers, and onions until they are soft and slightly roasted. Once done, transfer everything into a blender. Add the garlic and ginger, then blend everything into a smooth puree. Step 2: Cook the Jollof Base Place oil in a hot pot and pour in the blended puree. Allow it to fry and boil properly so the raw tomato taste cooks out. Next, add your seasonings: Curry Thyme Salt Adobo Chicken bouillon Beef bouillon Knorr cube Mix everything together very well and let it simmer beautifully on low heat. Step 3: Add the Rice Add water to the stew base and allow it to boil gently. Then add your washed rice and stir well. Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the rice is soft and flavorful. Low heat helps the rice absorb all the delicious smoky flavors without burning too quickly. Step 4: Garnish Once the rice is fully cooked, garnish with: Sliced onions Fresh tomatoes Chopped green onions This gives the jollof rice a beautiful finish and extra freshness. Step 5: Prepare the Steak Season your steak with your favorite spices and cook until juicy and well browned. Serve it right beside the hot jollof rice. Serve & Enjoy And just like that, your Nigerian jollof rice with steak is ready. Rich, flavorful, smoky, and absolutely delicious. Bon appΓ©tit! ππ½οΈ
