It’s atleast a 4hr wait to eat at Goldee’s. Much like Franklins in Austin. But as a Fort Worth local. I do it atleast 2 sundays a month. Always well worth the line. And on Sunday they have homemade bread pudding. That’s just as good as everything else.

Traveled all the way from Texas to eat at Goldees. The waiting was worth it. My husband still dreams about this BBQ. The only disappointment was Lao sausage wasn't available that day. I can't wait to come back.
The best foods absolutely come from mixing the best of different cultures and working with the available resources.
I discovered Goldee's by mere accident and I loved it since the beginning. Now, I have friends that make the trip from Mexico at least once a year to eat it. We just love them.

(Not that bbq is culturally unique to any one place) but this made me think about how food is one of the only things it’s usually culturally ok for people to take on as something they do and that’s awesome for the world (obviously only when people do it justice and don’t claim it as their own creation 😂)
