You can tell this was written so a child could understand, very nice.

Genuinely one of, if not, the most exciting piece of news I think I have ever heard in my life... so far 😉

I remember reading or hearing somewhere that the true test of knowing something is not being able to use all the long and clever words but actually being able to effortlessly describe it in laymans terms. This guy knows what he's on about

Marv, you've done it again. This was the easiest most digestible explanation of the nuclear fusion process and breakthrough that I've ever heard. Well done sir, our hats off to you 👏

I love how happy he is describing this momentous event.

We finally managed to get a controled, net positive nuclear reaction. After 60+ years we have finally reached it. Love the shameless plug at the end, that was brilliant.

His speaking reminds me of my a-level physics teacher, Mr. Jackie. He was always cool, keeping things short and simple, which makes his classes always a treat to participate in.

I could really relax just listening to him talk about fusion for hours.

I wish we could get the reaction of scientists through the ages to this. What an incredible achievement. I don't know if I'll live long enough to see this developed into anything, I suspect it will take decades, but hopefully my children will if I don't. Thank goodness for the brainiacs out there!

“So this is pretty cool.” “We’re hiring!” A succinct summary of fusion energy followed by a rising call to arms! Words to stand the test of time, surely

I'm just glad that people are aware of what a huge change this could be for all of humanity.

That's a level of cool we've been waiting a long time for.

This has the potential to be one of the biggest game changers in all of human history, I'm glad I got to be here for it.

I'm so happy such a historic achievement has been announced by this chill American guy. Imagine reading in a textbook about the first use of coal energy during the Industrial Revolution and seeing a quote from those scientists saying "So, this is pretty cool!"

I don't think we can ever FULLY wrap our minds around how incredible this is.... the energy was produced (1 Mega Joule) in LESS time than LIGHT takes to travel just ONE INCH... F**K. Imagine how much energy this could make in just ONE SECOND. Beyond crazy.

This is honestly exiting, such a breakthrough doesn’t come often and i’m glad i was alive when it happened.

Just wrote a paper about this topic this summer and it’s crazy they did it
