π ADVICE NEEDED
A woman has been married for one year.
Before marriage, her husband promised that they would build their home together and make decisions as a team.
But after the wedding, things changed.
Whenever his family asks him for money, he sends it without discussing it with his wifeβeven when they have important bills to pay.
One day, they were struggling to pay their rent. His younger brother called asking for money to buy a phone.
Without telling his wife, the husband sent him almost all the money they had saved.
When she found out, she was heartbroken.
Her husband said:
βThat's my brother. If I have money, I will help my family. You shouldn't stop me.β
She replied:
βI'm not asking you to abandon your family. I'm asking you to remember that you now have a family at home too.β
Now they are barely speaking.
Who is wrong here?
β€οΈ Should a spouse always come before siblings?
π€ Should couples discuss financial help to extended family?
π Or should everyone be free to use their own money as they wish?
What advice would you give this couple? π
