π ADVICE NEEDED
A woman had been dating her boyfriend for seven years.
They had plans. They had dreams. They even had names picked out for their future children.
She believed they were simply waiting for the right time to get married.
Then one afternoon, her boyfriend sat her down and said:
βI need to be honest with you. I don't think I can marry you.β
She was shocked.
She asked, βAfter seven years, you're just realizing this?β
He couldn't answer.
She cried, begged him to explain, but he only said:
βYou didn't do anything wrong. I just don't feel the same anymore.β
She eventually walked away.
A year later, she heard that he had married another woman.
She thought she was finally over himβuntil she received a message from him late one night:
βI sometimes wish I had chosen you.β
She stared at the message for a long time.
She wanted to reply.
She wanted to tell him how much he had hurt her.
But instead, she deleted it.
Because she realized something:
She had spent years waiting for him to choose her. She wasn't going to spend another minute waiting for him to regret losing her.
π If someone breaks your heart and later comes back saying they made a mistake, should you give them another chance?
Or should some doors remain permanently closed?
What would you advise her? π
