Episode 12: Justice at Last

The room fell silent as everyone stared at Chief Victor.

"I planned everything," he repeated. "Emeka was desperate for money. I convinced him that forging the documents would be easy. I promised him a fortune."

Uncle Emeka's eyes filled with tears.

"I was wrong," he whispered. "Greed blinded me."

The police officer stepped forward.

"Both of you will have the opportunity to explain yourselves at the station."

As the officers escorted them outside, Uncle Emeka stopped and turned to his brother.

"I'm sorry. I betrayed your trust, and I don't expect your forgiveness."

Ada's father looked at him with sadness.

"I forgive you because I don't want hatred to destroy what's left of this family. But forgiveness doesn't erase the consequences of your actions."

Emeka lowered his head and walked away.

The court delivered its judgment.

The forged documents were declared invalid.

The family land was officially restored to Ada's father, and the transfer to Ada and Maya remained legally recognized.

Cheers filled the courtroom.

Outside, Daniel approached Ada.

Daniel reached into his pocket but didn't bring out a ring.

She took his hand.
