Episode 5: The Unexpected Truth

Three weeks passed.

Daniel stopped calling every hour. He stopped making empty promises.

Instead, he focused on caring for his father and working on himself.

One afternoon, Ada received a message.

"Can we meet? Just once. If you still say no after today, I'll never disturb you again."

After thinking for hours, she agreed.

They met at the same restaurant where everything had fallen apart.

This time, Daniel arrived alone.

He placed his phone on the table.

"I've deleted every conversation that disrespected our relationship. I told everyone the truth—that I was wrong and that I lost the woman I loved because of my own choices."

Ada listened quietly.

Then Daniel handed her an envelope.

Inside was a letter.

"I don't expect your forgiveness. I only want to become a man who never hurts anyone the way I hurt you."

Before Ada could respond, a young woman walked into the restaurant.

It was the same woman Daniel had been seen with.

Ada's heart skipped a beat.

The woman smiled gently.

"I came because I owe you an apology."

She sat down and continued,

"I didn't know Daniel was in a relationship. The day I found out, I ended everything. But there's something you deserve to know..."

Ada looked at her, confused.

The woman took a deep breath.

"Daniel wasn't the only one hiding a secret..."

She slowly placed a medical report on the table.

Ada opened it...

Her hands began to shake.

The report contained a name she never expected to see.

Her own father's name.
