The Day Grandma Became a "Police Officer"

It was a quiet Saturday morning when Chinedu decided to teach his 75-year-old grandma how to use a smartphone.

"Grandma," he said, "if anyone calls asking for money, don't answer. Just block them."

Grandma nodded seriously. "I understand."

Two hours later, Chinedu's phone rang.

"Hello, Grandma?"

"Come home immediately!"

He rushed home, thinking there was an emergency.

When he arrived, he found three confused men standing outside the house.

"What happened?" Chinedu asked.

Grandma folded her arms proudly.

"Three young men came to ask if they could read the electricity meter."

"And?"

"I remembered what you said. I blocked them."

"You... blocked them?"

"Yes."

"How?"

"I locked the gate, took the key, and told the neighbors they looked suspicious."

The three men shouted, "Madam, we're from the electricity company!"

Grandma pointed at them.

"That's exactly what scammers would say!"

Just then, a real police patrol drove by.

The officers asked, "What's going on?"

Grandma smiled proudly.

"Officer, I already arrested them for you."

The policemen burst into laughter.

One officer looked at Grandma and said,

"Madam, would you like a job with the police?"

Grandma replied without blinking,

"How much is the salary? Because I also caught two goats eating my vegetables this morning."

The policemen laughed so hard one had to lean on the patrol van.

Since that day, everyone in the neighborhood calls her "Commander Grandma."

And the electricity workers now call before visiting. 😂
