The Wrong Number, The Right Person – Episode 5

Daniel's hands shook as he read the will again.

$18 million.

It didn't feel real.

"There has to be a mistake," he whispered.

Victor gently shook his head.

"There isn't."

He opened the briefcase and pulled out another envelope.

"For years, I searched for you. Every birthday, every Christmas, I wrote you a letter... hoping one day I'd be able to give them to you."

Daniel looked inside.

There were twenty-five letters.

One for every year of his life.

His eyes filled with tears.

"I never stopped loving you, son," Victor said.

Maya quietly stepped away, giving them a moment alone.

As Daniel hugged Victor for the first time, Maya smiled.

Maybe fate had truly brought them together.

Just then, Daniel's phone buzzed.

It was a message from an unknown number.

> "Don't accept the inheritance. If you do... you'll be in danger."

Daniel frowned.

Another message arrived.

> "The will isn't the real reason your father came back."

Then...

A photo appeared.

It showed Victor meeting secretly with two men outside a law office the previous night.

The final message read:

> "Ask him what happened to your uncle, Michael."

Daniel slowly looked up at Victor.

"Who... is Uncle Michael?"

Victor's face turned pale.

He took a step back.

"I hoped you'd never hear that name."

Before he could explain, a black SUV screeched to a stop nearby.

Two men jumped out.

One of them shouted,

"Get the briefcase!"

Victor pushed Daniel behind him.

"Run! Now!"

As they turned to escape, a loud sound echoed through the street...

Bang!

Everyone froze.

Who had been shot?
