π ADVICE NEEDED
A woman had been dating her boyfriend for seven years.
They had grown together, supported each other, and survived difficult times. She genuinely believed he was her forever.
One day, she found an old notebook while cleaning his room.
Inside were letters he had written years ago to another woman.
The letters were filled with promises of marriage, children, and a future together.
She asked him about them.
He admitted that the woman was his first love.
Then he said something that broke her heart:
βI never stopped loving her completely. I just learned how to love you too.β
The woman couldn't believe what she was hearing.
She asked:
βSo all these years, was I competing with someone who wasn't even here?β
He replied:
βNo. You were never competing. You became my life.β
But she couldn't stop wondering whether she had truly been his first choiceβor simply the person who stayed after his first love was gone.
She still loves him, but her trust has been shaken.
π If you discovered that your partner still had feelings for an ex from years ago, would you stay if they insisted they had chosen you?
Or would knowing that their heart still belongs partly to someone else be enough to leave?
What advice would you give her? π
